Founded in 1998, the Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF), With over 1,000 students right now, the college has continued to grow from its modest beginnings to become one of Nepal’s finest colleges of higher learning. Over the years, the LBEF Group of Institutions has produced over 7000 graduates who are now working as bankers, IT specialists, business owners, managers, and leaders in their fields of interest.  LBEF Campus is known as ‘The First IT College of Nepal’.

The objective has always been to establish a benchmark for education delivery that guarantees the growth of a well-rounded personality in students so they can stand out, compete in the modern world, and demonstrate their value at their place of employment. Today’s student needs to possess the soft skills required to succeed in addition to the academic degree they are pursuing. This is what LBEF has strived to provide as an educational institute and has achieved to a great extent over the years since its establishment.

Over the years, APIIT Education Group has secured more than 100 awards at local, regional, and international levels. These awards serve as acknowledgments of the achievement of APIIT and our students, reaffirming our standing as among the leading technology Institutions in Malaysia.

The APIIT Education Group received the prestigious Prime Minister’s Industry Excellence Award from the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak. Only one organisation was selected to receive the Prime Minister’s Industry Excellence Award from among nearly 30 other award recipients in 8 different categories. APIIT Education Group was also awarded the Export Excellence Award (Services).

The Industry Excellence Awards, organised by the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI), recognizes and rewards organisations for organisational excellence including competitiveness, innovativeness, market presence, and export performance. From its humble beginnings, the college has made steady progress and today stands as one of the leading colleges in Nepal.

  • Received “The SMU Award-2008” in 2008.
  • Received “The SMU Award-2009” in 2009.
  • First College in Nepal to Launch BCA/MCA/BIT/MIT/MBA(Banking) Programs.
  • Imparted computer training to 500 students on behalf of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Nepal Govt.
  • Imparted computer training to 6800 girl students under WFE and AGWN programs.
  • Developed TPIS (Teacher’s Information System) for the Ministry of Education, Nepal Govt.
  • Completed Data Entry into TPIS on behalf of MOES.
  • Completed scanning and data entry of vehicle records into vehicle information system on behalf of Dept. of Transport Management, Nepal Govt.
  • Completed data entry of Land details on behalf of the Ministry of Land and Reformation, Nepal Govt.

  • Our associate College for Professional Studies Pvt. Ltd. has been recognized as one of the Highest Tax Payers by Inland Revenue Department, Janakpur, Nepal in 2012.
  • More than 10000 students have already graduated from the LBEF Group of Institutions.

Training and Placement Cell

We see LBEF as a place where students can experiment freely, make mistakes, and learn from them to get ready for the corporate world. Once a student enrols at LBEF, the institution assumes full responsibility for ensuring that they are trained and equipped with the necessary skill sets to meet the changing demands of the business. Our institute includes a dedicated Training & Placement cell as a vital component. Placement of students in reputable international corporations, NGOs, INGOs, and private sector groups is its core goal. 

The cell is headed by a Training and Placement Officer (TPO) and has a representative from each of the faculties and colleges under the LBEF umbrella. We are not only passionate about shaping the career of our students, but we are equally inquisitive in knowing how our students are faring in the competitive world. We have produced employable graduates from our institutions. All students must do internships in reputed organisations.

CREDIT TRANSFER

LBEF, along with various reputed universities in Australia and Canada, has allowed BBM/BBA students of Nepal to credit transfer into these universities and experience world-class academics by studying there. LBEF allows BBM/BSc.IT students to transfer the credit after studying for one to two years in Nepal to the USA, UK, AUSTRALIA, AND MALAYSIA.  

Some of the benefits of the credit transfer system are listed below –

  • Cost Efficiency – The major benefit of credit transfer is that it offers the opportunity to reduce educational costs substantially. In general, credit transfer systems allow students to save 1/3 of the total cost which is approximately 35 lacs in Nepali Currency.
  • Better Course Choices – By the means of credit transfer, the students can make better course choices as they will be able to earn internationally acclaimed degrees at affordable fees.
  • International Exposure – Changing international business canvas requires international exposure to the workforce and a credit transfer system offers a student to complete his/her degree in an international university at their campus.
  • Dual Academic Recognition – A student taking admission through credit transfer will be certified by two institutions i.e. one at Nepal and one from International University where the student will get transferred.
  • Easier Exploration of Career Options – Having an International degree while studying in an international environment will offer several job and career options and opportunities at not only the national level but the international level as well.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • Admissions are done Three times a year in the Months of January, July, and September. 
  • Admissions are strictly based on the entrance examination and personnel interview conducted. No entrance examination will be conducted for the Weekend MBA program.
  • Form along with prescribed fees and required documents should be submitted to the Admission Officer within a stipulated time.
  • The duly filled up and submitted admission form is scrutinised and registered by the administrative staff, following which the applicants will have to appear for a common entrance examination.
  • The applicants shortlisted from the entrance examination will be finally selected for enrollment through an oral interview with a panel of examiners.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

At the time of application, the students have to produce original certificates and credentials for verification.

The documents required at the time of admission are:

  • Attested Xerox copy of SLC marks card and character certificate.
  • Attested Xerox copy of 10+2 marks cards or equivalent academic transcript, character certificate, provisional pass certificate, and migration certificate.
  • Attested xerox copies of Bachelor Level marks card, provisional pass certificate, and degree (Only for Master’s Level).
  • Attested Xerox copies of experience certificate (if applicable).
  • Attested Xerox copy of proof of nationality.
  • Students have to submit all original certificates at the time of admission which will be returned to the student after completion of the first semester & student has to obtain no due from the A/C dept. for the current semester.
  • In the case of appearing students, eligibility documents have to be submitted within the deadlines given by the Admission Department.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) & College For Professional Studies(CPS) have been permitted by the Ministry of Education to run the courses from Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Malaysia. All the Degrees will be awarded by APU. The Asia Pacific University of Technology is duly recognized by Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
